Can I bring my children?

Yes, you can. Just let us know ahead of time so we can arrange seating and meals. Kindly supervise them, especially during the ceremony and dinner. Stepping out briefly if needed keeps things peaceful for everyone.

What is the temperature in Sintra like at the time of the event?

Late September in Sintra is generally warm and pleasant. Daytime temperatures average around 24-26 °C, with evenings cooling to about 16-18 °C, so a light layer for later in the day is a good idea.

What is the food & drink menu for the wedding day?

• During cocktail hour, right after the ceremony:
  Alcoholic and non-alcoholic signature cocktails, prosecco, beer, wine, soft drinks, and water. Bread, butter, cheese, olives, and our favorite snack from the coast nearby.

• During dinner:
  Wine, prosecco, beer, soft drinks, and water. Traditional Portuguese starters from the sea and garden. Vegetable soup. Vegetarian or meat as a main course with a side of vegetables and potatoes. Raspberry cream wedding cake with complementary coffee and tea for dessert.

• After dinner:
  Classic long drinks, wine, prosecco, beer, soft drinks, and water. Midnight supper with typical Portuguese snacks, with vegetarian options.

How can I get around if I don’t have a car?

Getting around is easy with ride-sharing apps like Uber or Bolt, which are usually quite affordable. Download the apps before your trip so everything runs seamlessly once you're in Portugal. Public buses are an option too, but they can be quite unreliable.

Where can I rent a car?

Portugal has pretty affordable car rentals. That said, for our wedding events, we recommend Uber or Bolt so you can relax, drink, and enjoy without driving worries! If you still want to rent a car, here are three solid, budget-friendly options right at Lisbon Airport: Sixt, Hertz, and Guerin.

Where can I park my car?

For the welcome drinks and beach day you will find public parking spots nearby. It's popular this time of year, so it sometimes takes a bit of patience to find a space.
At the wedding day, there's private parking at the Quinta. You are welcome to leave your car there overnight if you prefer to use an Uber or Bolt home later.

Should I bring a physical gift?

No, the greatest gift is that you're celebrating with us. If you'd like to give us an additional present, we are collecting bribes for our house building permission. You'll find the bank details at the bottom of the homepage under "Registry."

When and to which airport should I book my flights?

Lisbon Airport (LIS) is the closest option for getting here. From our experience, flights are relatively often delayed, so plan for a bit of extra time when booking. You can find the exact starting time and address of each event under the “Program” section on the homepage. The ride from the airport to Colares is about 1 hour, depending on traffic, and Ubers or Bolts cost around 30-40€ each way.

How can I find a place to stay?

We recommend booking accomodation as long in advance as possible, as the area is popular during summertime. Both Airbnb and Booking.com offer plenty of good options. When and where can I get the pictures from the wedding?

Thank you for respecting our “no-phone” request during our wedding. It means a lot to us to celebrate this intimate moment together with you, and we are super excited to see the professional pictures from the day! It usually takes around 3-4 months for the full gallery to be published, and we will share it with you once it is online. We kindly request that you ask the people shown in the pictures for their permission before sharing the photos with others.
